Guns are the leading cause of death for young people.

People have survived mass shootings by covering themselves in blood, tricking the shooter into thinking they were dead.

If blood can ward off a shooter,
then knowing how to apply it is a survival tool.

MAKEUP FOR THE LACK OF GUN CONTROL

Laelo was inspired by survivors of mass shootings who instinctively covered themselves in their friends’ blood to trick the shooter into thinking they were dead.

Robb Elementary, 2022

An 11 year-old survived the school shooting in Uvalde by covering herself in another student’s blood to trick the shooter into thinking she was already dead.

Sandy Hook, 2012

An unnamed six-year-old girl survived the massacre by playing dead among the bodies of her classmates. She was the sole survivor of a class of 15, and burst from the school covered in blood from head to toe.

Virginia Tech, 2007

A freshman engineering major was one of just four students able to walk out from her classroom. Everyone else was either killed or seriously injured. She played dead to survive.

Until our leaders and legislators take action, young people are defenseless. This is their normal.

Laelo isn’t the solution – it’s a reminder we live in absurdity.
And we can change this reality.

Research shows secure storage reduces the risk of gun violence but as of now, each state has its own laws around the matter. Sign the petition to make secure storage a law on the federal level, across all 50 states.
